Victory Cruise Lines To Add Third Ship

USA-based cruise operator Victory Cruise Lines have announced plans to add a third ship to their fleet.

The ship will be called Ocean Victory and will enter service for Victory Cruise Lines in 2021. Her maiden season will be spent in Alaska, where she will offer a series of ten-night voyages between May and September.

To ensure guests get the best possible experience in the region, Ocean Victory will be equipped with a fleet of Zodiacs and kayaks, both of which will be used frequently throughout each sailing, weather permitting. Similarly to Aurora Expeditions’ new ship Greg Mortimer, Ocean Victory will be designed with an X-bow to minimise the impact of inclement weather, as well as a cutting-edge dynamic positioning system, which will allow her to remain static without requiring the use of an anchor.

Onboard, Ocean Victory will offer capacity for 200 guests across 93 suites, more than half of which will have a private balcony. In terms of public amenities, the ship will feature two dining venues, a piano lounge, gym facilities and a swimming pool with a jacuzzi. The ship will also have a lecture theatre, which will host experts on marine biology and natural history throughout each sailing.

Recently acquired by the American Steamboat Company, Victory Cruise Lines operate cruises on the Great Lakes and along coastal Canada & New England aboard MV Victory I and MV Victory II.
