Twiggy: Godmother of Seabourn Sojourn

The newest cruise ship from Yachts of Seabourn set sail on its maiden voyage this week from London. As the Sojourn is a smaller more luxurious ship to many other major cruise liners, it was able to set off from the River Thames. The Sojourn comes with many new features including suites with forward facing balconies and their own solariums. The luxury ship also boasts six bars, four restaurants and a new spa villa.

Twiggy, the iconic 1960’s supermodel, was onboard to christen the Sojourn during a Charity Gala last Friday and is known as the ships ‘godmother’. Twiggy along with 700 guests and staff members enjoyed a performance from Siren, a modern string quartet group, along with fireworks.

The new ship will start by cruising in the Norwegian Fjords and Iceland, and then will travel over to Fort Lauderdale later in the year where it will cruise the Caribbean.
