Graceful and ideally suited to cruising the idyllic seascapes of Polynesia, the Tu Moana often feels more like a private yacht rather than the small, fully equipped cruise ship that she actually is.
With her twin sister, she spends the year sailing these fabled waters, where her shallow draft allows her to access smaller, more secluded slices of paradise. Built in 2003, she is 226 feet long and boasts five decks in all.
These decks encompass a number of private lounges, a Polynesian themed library, main restaurant offering international cuisine, and large fitness suite. In addition, there is an extensive, a la carte spa and, on the upper deck, twin Jacuzzis for savouring that perfect Pacific sunset. There are diving facilities on board, as well as jet skis for passenger use.
Tu Moana has a capacity of seventy guests, accommodated in thirty twin cabins, and served by a crew of 41. Each cabin comes complete with queen size beds, each equipped with a DVD/CD system, and all are outside rooms.
For an intimate, up close and personal experience that showcases the stunning beauty of Polynesia in an intimate, welcoming and comfortable environment, Tu Moana is one of the best contemporary choices available to the discerning adventurer.
