The Cruise Line Announces Most Wanted Cruise
We are delighted to announce that our ‘most wanted’ cruise is now on sale, with the itinerary defined using data compiled from our 2013 Cruise Survey.
We recently conducted a major cruise survey which has been distributed through the post to 10,000 cruise bookers and online via email and social media. There have already been over 1,000 responses which have now been analysed the results collated.
A selection of the questions within the ‘2013 Cruise Survey’ asked cruise passengers and prospective passengers what their preferred cruise options would be. Our CRM team then analysed the data in order to outline the ‘most wanted’ cruise. This exercise was not straightforward; whilst one cruise line may have come ahead of another on certain questions, there were also cases where that selection was not combinable with another and hence the overall results would change.
Jos Dewing, Managing Director of The Cruise Line said, “This has been an extremely interesting and insightful exercise for us in terms of gaining insights and understanding future cruise patterns to ensure The Cruise Line remains at the forefront of understanding the marketplace in 2013. However, it has also been a great opportunity to establish the cruise that we feel best matches the specific demands of those who took part in the survey.”
The main responses showed that people were seeking a Mediterranean cruise with an all-inclusive option being preferred and were seeking to book around the September 2014 time. Theatre was the main activity interest on board and fine dining and balcony accommodation was also at the top. Finally, the most popular choice for hotel was Hilton. Oceania Cruises, which actually appeared as the second most demanded cruise line was the closest match for other criteria in terms of the product offering when collated with all results. Budget was also a key component within the final criteria.
By using this data we have been able to package a cruise on board Oceania Cruises’ Marina ship in September 2014. The cruise - which features a 2 night pre hotel stay at the Hilton in Barcelona - will visit some of the Mediterranean’s most iconic ports over 10 nights and the ship offers an exceptional theatre experience. There is an optional all-inclusive drinks package available too and the food on board Oceania Cruises is considered to be the best at sea.
The ‘most demanded’ cruise has been packaged exclusively by The Cruise Line’s product team and is now on sale and can be viewed on the website by clicking the following link:
