Silversea Launches My Photo Academy In Antarctica
Guests on Silver Cloud’s Antarctica sailings will be able to hone their photography skills courtesy of Silversea’s new ‘My Photo Academy’ programme.
The programme has been designed to guide and instruct photography enthusiasts in order to help them take professional-standard photographs on their voyage. Guests will also be given the opportunity to use a variety of multimedia facilities as well as receive recommendations on proper camera use, camera menu options and tips on how to post to social media networks such as Facebook and Instagram.
The programme consists of both group and private lessons, with each class being led by Silver Cloud’s onboard photography expert in the ship’s new Photo Studio; a unique creative space that is packed with state-of-the-art equipment and editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.
Speaking about the Academy, Silversea’s SVP of Strategic Development and Expedition & Experiences said:
“Our new photography programme is the perfect fit for the immersive expeditions we offer in Antarctica. Voyaging to the bottom of the earth is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, full of magical moments that we hope to help our guests capture in beautiful images they would be proud to display in their home or office”.
Silver Cloud’s photography academy is just one of the many ways guests can enhance the time they spend with Silversea in Antarctica. She is also equipped with a fleet of sixteen Zodiacs, ten kayaks and every voyage is accompanied by an Expedition Team who lead excursions and a daily programme of informative lectures and briefings.
