Seabourn Tests All-Inclusive Fares

Luxury cruise line Seabourn Cruises has announced that they will be testing out new all-inclusive fares on selected sailings.

The new pricing strategy – or ‘Advantage Fares’ as they are to be known - is set to provide an alternative to Seabourn Cruises' traditional pricing structure with the all-inclusive option including flights, transfers, shore excursion credits and a one night pre-cruise hotel stay.

Seabourn already include gratuities and beverages in the initial cruise fare and John Delaney, Seabourn’s Senior Vice-President of Marketing and Sales believes that the new Advantage Fares will prove popular amongst their guests:

“This is something that we’re offering for select 2013 sailings, recognising that there are consumers who appreciate the convenience of an all-inclusive cruise offering that included their travel to and from the ship. It’s just a matter of offering our guests more choices.”

Seabourn will test the new fare policy on selected 2013 sailings up until the end of October. If successful, there is the possibility that they will roll them out for all of their 2013/14 itineraries.

Some luxury cruise lines already operate on an all-inclusive basis, including Crystal Cruises and Regent Seven Seas who include flights, transfers and unlimited shore excursions under the banner of their ‘It’s ALL Included’ message.
