Seabourn Cruises To Sell Three Ships
Seabourn Pride, Spirit and Legend to remain in service until 2014/15
Seabourn Cruises has announced that they will be selling three of their cruise ships – Seabourn Pride, Seabourn Spirit and Seabourn Legend.
The voyages currently scheduled for the three luxury liners will remain unchanged so that they can fulfil their upcoming service requirements, with Seabourn Pride set to be transferred in April 2014 and Seabourn Spirit and Seabourn Legend following in April 2015 and May 2015 respectively.
The decision to release the three older cruise ships has been made following the introduction - and success - of Seabourn’s newer, latest additions, Odyssey, Quest and Sojourn.
A statement released by the line’s President, Richard Meadow claims that the larger scale of the new ships has allowed the line of offer “enhanced accommodations and amenities” whilst retaining Seabourn's customary “personalised, intuitive service and relaxed social atmosphere.”.
Following the release of the three vessels, Seabourn has also announced there will be an opportunity for fourth new ship to be added to the Seabourn fleet, with the statement claiming that Seabourn is “likely to announce an order for a fourth ship of similar design within the current fiscal year.”
