Princess Cruises’ has announced that their new vessel, the Royal Princess, will boast one of the best spa facilities at sea.

The Royal Princess, which is due to debut in June 2013, will have a guest capacity of 3600 and early reports regarding the vessel’s technological innovations and special features suggest that it really is going to be something special, especially where the health and fitness facilities are concerned.

Marking a change in Princess Cruises' customary ship layout, the Royal Princess’s Lotus Spa will be located off of the ship's atrium instead of in one of the upper corners.

Guests who are interested in using the spa on the Royal Princess can look forward to the following:

  • Barber ship
  • Relaxation room
  • 18 treatment rooms

In addition to this the Royal Princess will host The Enclave, which is shaping up to be the largest thermal suite in the Princess Cruises’ fleet and the Scrub & Shine Bar where couples can enjoy side-by-side massage treatments and relaxing whirlpool sessions.

Aside from the spa, Princess has also announced that the Royal Princess will have an exclusive upper-deck pool for adults, balconies on all outside staterooms as well as the fleet’s largest Movies Under the Stars screen.
