Royal Caribbean Introduces "Art on Royal" to its Entire Fleet

Royal Caribbean International has announced that their latest art programme "Art on Royal" will be launched across its entire fleet. The one-of-a-kind art programme offers guests art tours, events, auctions and seminars, and will be available on all their ships by the end of the year. The programme is currently only available onboard Oasis of the Seas, Adventure of the Seas and Navigator of the Seas.

The programme, created in partnership with Art Actually, encompasses Royal Caribbean’s entire art collection that spans across their twenty-two ship fleet. The collection, built up over the last 20 years, includes thousands of original art works by established and emerging artists such as Pablo Picasso and Royal Caribbean’s Signatures Artists Romero Britto and Thomas Kinkade.

Senior vice president Lisa Bauer of Hotel Operations, Royal Caribbean said of passenger’s enthusiasm towards the art collection, "Royal Caribbean International has compiled one of the world’s largest private art collections, valued at $120 million, on display aboard our fleet of ships for our guests’ enjoyment. Guests have always marvelled at our art and many have inquired into how to purchase them. Art on Royal will offer guests the opportunity to take home a lasting work of art as a memory of their cruise vacation, as well as provide a broad menu of enriching, art-inspired programs.”

Art Royal, unique only to Royal Caribbean, is an onboard art programme dedicated to bringing interest and awareness to modern art. The art programme, only available on selected voyages, will allow guests to participate in art seminars and events, guests will also have the opportunity to view and purchase artwork such as wall pieces, limit-edition signed photography and artist commissions.
