Regent Seven Seas Explorer Announced

"The most luxurious cruise ship in the era of modern cruising"

Regent Seven Seas has announced that a new luxury cruise ship, Seven Seas Explorer, will join their fleet in 2016.

According to their latest press release, Seven Seas Explorer – which Regent Seven Seas is claiming will be the “most luxurious cruise ship in the era of modern cruising” - will be constructed in Italy’s Fincantieri shipyard with a view to a summer 2016 launch date.

Seven Seas Explorer will offer a passenger capacity of 738 guests and will weigh 54,000 tons, making it the largest vessel in the Regent Seven Seas fleet. Early indications suggest that Seven Seas Explorer will have one of the highest space ratios in modern cruise ship design, a nine-deck atrium, and a “timeless and elegant design”.

The accommodation onboard will be all-suite and all-balcony, and will offer guests a choice of six gourmet restaurants alongside Regent Seven Seas’ standards such as the Canyon Ranch SpaClub.

The addition of the Seven Seas Explorer to Regent‘s current fleet, which is comprised of the Seven Seas Navigator, Seven Seas Voyager and Seven Seas Mariner, will make Regent "the world’s largest luxury cruise line".

The Fincantieri shipyard has recently been used to build Princess Cruises’ Royal Princess, Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth and Carnival’s Carnival Breeze.
