Red Arrows Join Cunard’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations
Cunard has announced that the famous Red Arrows will be taking to the skies for the cruise lines Three Queens Diamond Jubliee Event to mark Her Majesty The Queen's 60 year reign, held in Southampton on Tuesday 5 June 2012.
The Jubilee celebration, which is expect to be the biggest outside of London over the bank holiday weekend, will feature all three of Cunard’s luxury ships, sailing into the Solent on the morning of the event, followed by a full day of celebrations and special tributes to be enjoyed by Cunard passengers and Southampton’s residents and visitors.
The Red Arrows will perform a display with seven of their aircrafts from the squadron and will be the first time the RAF aerial team will have performed over Southampton and the Solent. The display is scheduled for 6pm with the action expected above the Marchwood area of the docks.
With a combined display of Cunard's Queen Victoria, Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria alongside Britain’s Red Arrow team, the event is expected to be a wonderful spectator experience in honour of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee.

The event will conclude with what will be an evening spectacular, all three ships will congregate in the harbour ready to set sail as an impressive display of fireworks and special effects light up the night sky above them.
