Ponant Launches Summer 2017 Cruise Season
Ponant has launched its summer 2017 cruise season with nearly 50 voyages on offer to the Arctic, Mediterranean, Northern Europe and the Baltic.
Guests will have a wide choice of itinerary options varying from one to two weeks, and all accompanied by guides, naturalists, experts or lecturers depending on the destination. The Open Bar is included on all itineraries, and a range of carefully planned pre and post cruise programmes have been developed to perfectly complement each cruise.
Great Arctic North
Explore the world’s extreme regions in five-star comfort, a concept created by PONANT which has become its signature.
Sail to Greenland, the Baffin Sea, Spitsbergen and beyond from June to September 2017 in the wake of the great explorers, just a few hours from Paris. Accompanied by experienced naturalists, discover fascinating polar landscapes, the unexpectedly rich culture of the Inuits, exceptional wildlife (whales, polar bears…) and the magical spectacle of the aurora borealis. For an original once in a lifetime summer vacation, these voyages to a remote region will appeal to young and old alike.
Athens, Bonifacio, Istanbul and Venice are just some of the ports of call whose history is revealed by expert guides. All the charm of the Mediterranean with its picturesque villages, ancient cultures and coastal paths bordered by olive groves and crystal blue water awaits - a way to explore the many facets of these shores in one trip.
North Europe & the Baltic
Between Sweden and Norway or Finland and Denmark via Russia discover the great Nordic capitals, all of them architectural jewels in their own right. Like vast open-air museums each have their own unique atmosphere which never fails to captivate the traveller. With guides and lecturers aboard, these cruises offer a wealth of fascinating insights into the two regions, through the countries visited and the wide variety of sites proposed.
Established in 1988, Compagnie du Ponant has five cruise ships; Le Ponant, Le Boreal, L’Austral, Le Soleal and the newest fleet member, Le Lyrial. All five vessels boast an impressive level of intimacy that is more commonly associated with a private yacht, a value that Ponant are keen to impress on their guests. The standard of accommodation is extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated, whilst the ships’ public areas shimmer with a warm and inviting ambience.
Wherever you choose to cruise with Ponant, you are certainly in for a taste of the “French Touch”.
