as it hugs the windy, rocky coastline crashing with waves. This coastal area abounds with a variety of invertebrates, fish and sea birds, including several on the endangered species list, and North America&s largest underwater canyon, located in Monterey Historic Park.
In addition to its natural magnificence, California's central coast offers many picturesque towns including Monterey, Carmel, Pacific Grove, San Simeon and Santa Barbara. Each of these destinations offer a bit of Spanish history combined with breathtaking scenery. Monterey itself is a wonderful city, rich in historical monuments, museums and one of this country's finest aquariums. Throughout the area there are many shopping and dining opportunities as well as incredible golf and fishing.
While in Monterey, the Silver Cloud will be anchored in the bay. Guests will be escorted ashore via tender. Cannery Row can be reached on foot in approximately ten minutes.
