Major Enhancements For Azamara Quest And Azamara Journey In 2016

Azamara Quest and Azamara Journey will both undergo major updates in 2016, as Azamara Club Cruises brings the organic essence of Destination Immersion onboard.

Full details are expected to be announced between July and September, but the two mid-sized cruise ships will undergo transformations that will see the introduction of new venues, public spaces and better onboard technology. The staterooms, dining areas and pool areas, and Sanctum Spa on both vessels will be updated.

Azamara Journey will enter drydock in January 2016 in the Bahamas, and Azamara Quest will begin her transformation in April 2016 in Singapore.

Larry Pimentel, President and CEO of Azamara Club Cruises, said “We can't wait for our ships to come out of drydock as these major upgrades are going to have an instant impact on our guests' experience. Each corner of the ships will have a new look and feel, setting a brighter, more contemporary ambiance, while the new venues will bring guests fresh experiences.

The enhancements of both vessels will truly bring the organic essence of Destination Immersion aboard. The extensive upgrades draw their inspiration from the four elements of nature:

Earth – A muted colour palette of earth tones is being incorporated throughout our ships to evoke a serene, elegant, and warm sense of home.

Water – Azamara’s new spa suites will feature rain showers with ocean views, double vanities, and outdoor Jacuzzi tubs overlooking the sea.

Air – To freshly entice the senses, Azamara Club Cruises are introducing new open-air venues and experiences, including an Asian al fresco restaurant.

Fire – Sunrises and sunsets will be relished at the new outdoor Pool Grill & Bar, followed by dazzling nights in the completely revitalized onboard entertainment areas.

We will keep you updated with news as it arrives, but it looks like 2016 is going to be an incredibly exciting time for Azmara’s two award-winning vessels.

Many of their sailings include extended stays in port, giving guests the opportunity to explore some of the world’s best islands and cities for longer, whilst each stop is enhanced with optional shore excursions and land tours.
