Hurtigruten To Cruise From The UK In 2021
Norwegian cruise operator Hurtigruten has announced a new programme of ex-UK sailings departing in 2021/22.
The new itineraries will sail aboard MS Maud, which was previously called MS Trolljord. The 638-guest capacity ship is one of three Hurtigruten ships scheduled to undergo a major refit. The upgrades will see the ship’s engines exchanged for new eco-friendly hybrid power systems, as well as be subject to a comprehensive range of enhancements to the public areas, restaurants and accommodation options.
Commenting on the announcement, Hurtigruten’s UK Sales Manager, Anthony Daniels said:
“We are delighted to launch our first-ever season from Dover. This new route offers a truly exceptional way for guests to explore the coast of Norway and experience the Northern Lights; all at the convenience and comfort of a UK departure. Not only will we take guests to new highlights, but with an increased presence of expedition team leaders on board, we will help new and existing guests become immersed in the rich wildlife and cultural offering of Norway”.
