Huacho is located on the west coast of Peru, and is the capital of both the Huaura Province and the Lima Region. It's close position to the Lomas de Lachay national park contributes to it's varied animal and plant life, and the park itself contains ancient archaeological paintings as well as remains from the pre-Colombian civilisations that previously inhabited it.
