Holland America Introduce Vegetarian-Only Menu

Guests sailing with Holland America Line this summer will be able to opt for a healthier vegetarian culinary experience. The cruise line has recently introduced a new alternative, vegetarian-only menu in addition to 30 new vegetarian dishes available from the main dining room menu.

Holland America’s award-winning Master Chef Rudi Sodamin has created 22 exclusive vegetarian and vegan dishes with strong emphasis on seasonal vegetables and other healthy ingredients. The new vegetarian-only menu will include a selection of salads, soups and main entrees available on request at no extra cost onboard all of Holland America Line’s 15 ships.

Richard Meadows, Holland America Line’s executive vice president of marketing, sales and guest programs said;

"Many more people are choosing a vegetarian culinary experience, yet the options can be limited, by offering a complete vegetarian-only menu and the largest vegetarian selection at sea, we are ensuring that all guests can take part in an exceptional dining experience while cruising with Holland America Line."

From the vegetarian-only menu the collection of savoury dishes includes Vietnamese Vegetable Spring Rolls, Portobello Mushroom and Chipotle Quesadillas, Curried Vegetable Empanadas, Grilled Vegetable and Tofu Kebobs and Sweet and Sour Vegetable Tempura.

From the main dining room menu, guests will be able to choose from a wide-selection of dishes such as Asparagus and Zucchini Torte with wild rice and sun-dried tomato coulees and Grilled Eggplant and Bell Pepper Masala braised in yogurt with Indian spices and served wil coconut-pistachio basmati rice.
