Hebridean Island Cruises introduce European River Cruises for 2012

Hebridean Island Cruises has announced the introduction of their European river cruise programme for 2012. Hebridean will be chartering out the Dutch-owned vessel Ms Royal Crown to offer four, 7-night voyages, two on the Rhine in spring and two on the Danube in the autumn.

River cruising has become increasingly popular over the years due to the opportunity for voyagers to combine a small ship sailing with a land based tour. Hebridean now look set to gain from the boom and will join APT River Cruises, AMA Waterways and Viking River Cruises who already sail the Danube and Rhine.

Ivonne Brown, Vice President of Marketing, North America stated of the Scottish introduction on the European rivers;
“We are pleased to offer exciting new river cruising itineraries that deliver Hebridean’s luxurious and unique brand to the fascinating market of river cruising. The combination of our Scottish flair and our new cruises to the heart of Continental Europe’s most beautiful cities and landscapes takes the Hebridean experience to a new and intriguing level,”

Royal Crown offers the same luxury and style as Hebridean Princess with five star service and accommodation. The vessel carries just 79 passengers offering an intimate and relaxed sailing. Built in 1996 and refurbished in 2010, Royal Crown offers a 1930’s art deco style interior with mahogany panelling and art Nouveau features.
