Galilee Haifa Cruises
The port of Haifa has had a tumultuous history, falling into disrepair and carrying the reputation as a haven for pirates in the 1800s. It wasn’t until 1948 that its redevelopment properly got underway, but since then it has become a popular cruise destination for many cruise line.
The port itself provides excellent access to Nazareth and the city of Galilee, both of which are well worth visiting if you are stopping over on a cruise holiday. Nazareth, particularly, has a wealth of attractions, the main one being the chance to visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, which is revered for being the site where the Angel Gabriel appeared in front of The Virgin Mary.
