The city of Famagusta is located on the eastern coast of Cyprus. The city is sometimes known as Ammokhostos, this means ‘hidden in sand'. There are two parts to Famagusta; the ancient city and the more modern part of the city. The walled city has a very interesting historical past and visitors may like to explore the old town where you will find an ancient Bazaar and many other historical sites.
