The country sits at the mouth of the Persian Gulf, bordered by the United Arab Emirates to the northwest, Saudi Arabia to the west and Yemen to the southwest. Oman also shares a marine border with Iran. Because of its location, Oman enjoys a warm climate year-round with very little rainfall – making it perfect for winter travel.
Places of interest include Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, National Museum of Oman, Royal Opera House Muscat and Al Jabal Al Akhdar; which is part of the Al Hagar Mountain Range.
Jordan Cruises
When you think of Jordan you might automatically think of Petra and although many documents have been written about this ancient place, you have to see it with your own eyes to believe it. The entrance to the city is through the Siq, a narrow gorge over 1km in length and flanked either side by towering 80 metre high cliffs. As you reach the end of the Siq, you shall catch your first glimpse of Al-Khasneh, a 30-metre wide and 43-metre high facade, carved entirely out of the pink rock face. It was carved in the early 1st century as the tomb of a Nabataean King.
