Cunard Announces 2014/15 Cruise Programme
Cunard Line released details last week of its full cruising programme for 2014-15.
The highlights include special transatlantic voyages and exciting events to celebrate the 10th birthday of Queen Mary 2, the fleet’s flagship. Guests will also enjoy new range of excursions and an increase in Mediterranean itineraries.
The programme, which commences in the spring following all three ships’ World Voyages, will see Queen Elizabeth based in the Mediterranean between June and December 2014. Queen Victoria will be visiting cruise favourites including Norwegian Fjords, Baltic cities, and the Mediterranean. Queen Mary 2 will continue to provide her famed transatlantic itineraries, with a selection of cruises to celebrate her birthday, including two special “Birthday Crossings” in May, as well as a three Queens event in Southampton on 9th May 2014. She will offer additional sailings in Northern Europe, with cruises featuring ports of call in Norway and the Arctic Circle.
New Cunard Shore Excursions
To accompany the range of new itineraries, Cunard Line has announced an array of exclusive shore excursions designed to enhance the port experience at some of the cruise line’s heritage destinations. In New York, enjoy breakfast at Macy’s, experience a London Christmas or a ‘Royal Tour’ of London, and whilst in Hamburg choose an extensive tour of Berlin.
According to Peter Shanks, President of Cunard Line, “2014 is the year to travel on a Cunard Liner,” noting that “the 10th anniversary of Queen Mary 2 provides a unique opportunity to experience crossing the Atlantic in a celebratory fashion.” Shanks added that “Each guest’s Cunard cruise experience is amplified by our reputation for superior White Star Service and world-class amenities.”
