Cunard Announce New Ship for 2022.
Cunard has announced it will be expanding its fleet with the addition of a fourth ship scheduled for 2022.
The as-yet-unnamed vessel is the first new Cunard ship in 12 years and will join Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth in offering classic cruise experiences in many of the world’s best cruise destinations.
The new ship will share the fleets iconic livery and eye-catching red funnels and will offer accommodation for 3,000 guests, who will be given the opportunity to enjoy Cunard’s signature onboard experience, along with a host of brand new enhancements.
Cunard’s Vice President, Simon Palethorpe, commented on the new ship, stating:
“We are seeing an incredible demand across all corners of the world for Cunard. We offer unrivalled ocean experiences where guests tell us they feel free, feel special and feel inspired as they sale on the most famous fleet in the world. This new, next generation ship will certainly embody many of the distinctive design characteristics that set Cunard apart.”
The announcement comes 50 years after the official naming of Cunard’s much-loved QE2 and follows the incredible £120 million refurbishments of Queen Victoria, and the line’s flagship, Queen Mary 2.
