Crystal Cruises change smoking policy for 2014

Crystal Cruises has announced that they will be making changes to their existing smoking policy with new guidelines set to be rolled-out early next year.

Crystal’s new non-smoking policy - which will be enforced from January 2014 - rules that guests who smoke will no longer be able to do so in any of their two vessels’ indoor areas except for the Connoisseur Club.

Following in the footsteps of Silversea, Princess Cruises and NCL, Crystal Cruises is the latest cruise line to incorporate a new non-smoking policy. The luxury cruise line’s president, Gregg Michel, has commented that move was one largely based on customer feedback, stating:

“We have received considerable feedback on smoking and we listened...Our policies have evolved as lifestyles have changed. The majority of our guests worldwide are non-smoking and travellers are used to more non-smoking environments today.”

The is the second amendment that Crystal Cruises has made to their smoking policy in the past 12 months following the announcement made at the beginning of 2013 that smoking was to be banned from the casinos aboard Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity.
