Crystal Cruises And The Magic Castle At Sea

Crystal Cruises has this week embarked upon a new realm of entertainment, bringing magicians from the distinguished Magic Castle to the cruise industry for the very first time.

Entitled the “Magic Castle at Sea”, guests will be able to enjoy spell-binding performances by members of the Hollywood private magicians’ club. The shows, which are currently featuring aboard Crystal Symphony before joining Crystal Serenity for her August 6th voyage, look set to delight passengers of all ages, with Bret Bullock, Crystal’s Vice President of Entertainment announcing that the line are “thrilled to offer guests yet another unique choice of high-calibre vacation fun.”

But the hocus pocus won’t end there. Magic Castle magicians will also be offering guests the chance to develop both their own magic trick repertoire at complimentary classes, and their magical knowledge with educational enrichment on subjects such as Houdini. Children will be kept entertained with special junior magic shows on a variety of sailings.

At its Hollywood home, the Magic Castle is an invitation-only spectacular. On board, guests will be able to choose from a selection of half-hour performances taking place on a range of nights, with complimentary ‘invitations’ found at the vessels’ libraries. These invitations can then be used for admittance to the real Castle back in California, a truly exclusive experience.

As the lights dim and the show begins, guests will enter via an alternative entrance to a Crystal lounge transformed into a spooky Victorian-style Castle. With an audience of just 25, guests will be able to see the magic up-close in an intimate and bewitching setting. And don’t worry if you haven’t booked a holiday with Crystal Cruises this summer, the Magic Castle team are set to join the line for all of their of voyages in 2013, in addition to 13 European sailings before the end of the year on the well-loved luxury line.
