Celebrity Chefs Join Silversea ‘Culinary Arts’ Voyages
Silversea Cruises has announced that a number of celebrity chefs will be joining their Culinary Arts voyages in 2012/13.
Silversea’s Culinary Arts’ program will feature seven lovingly-crafted voyages designed to indulge food lovers and wine-enthusiasts in their passions whilst enjoying a luxury cruise holiday. Each voyage will feature at least one high-profile chef with guests able to take part in a number of food-related enrichment activities and themed excursions.
One of the voyages, titled ‘The Flavours of Europe’, will sail on the Silver Explorer expedition ship on the 29th April 2013 from Lisbon to Portsmouth. Throughout the voyage, guests will be treated to a number of special cooking classes and tasting sessions, with other activities set to include a guided tour of a specialist seafood market in Santander, Spain.
Other Culinary Arts itineraries will offer guests the opportunity to take part in cooking demonstrations, wine-tasting sessions and listen to talks about everything from understanding flavourings to how to create signature dishes. In keeping with the theme, the shore excursions will also be food-related and will include trips to food markets, wine lodges and specialist restaurants in some of the world’s top ports.
