Carnival Cruise Lines Welcomes Carnival Magic To Its Fleet
Carnival Cruise Lines welcomed its new ship Carnival Magic yesterday at its built place, Fincantieri shipyard in Italy. The 130,000-ton ship is the Carnival Corporations 100th ship to join the fleet and the second of Carnivals Dream class.
Carnival Magic will take her maiden voyage on the 1st May with a nine-day Venice to Barcelona cruise. She will remain in the Mediterranean until October 16th and then sail to port Galveston in Texas where she will remain for the next year.
Carnival Magic will feature a range of “fun ship” amenities and entertainment including a Caribbean inspired pub, The Red Frog, serving its own draught beer; an Italian style family restaurant called Cucina-del Captiano and Sport Square, an open-air complex for rock climbing and jogging.
Other features will also include The Lania, an outdoor promenade with a barbeque area and whirlpools, and the splash-tastic Waterworks aqua park featuring "Twister" a 312-foot-long water slide. Guests will also be able to enjoy the outdoo/ indoor Plaza cafe that holds live, evening entertainment.
