Azamara Plans To Refurbish Ships

Azamara Club Cruises has announced plans to refurbish their two cruise ships, Azamara Quest and Azamara Journey.

The cruise line, which is part of Royal Caribbean International, will begin the process in November with the modifications to both vessels scheduled to be completed in time for the spring 2013 season.

During this process both ships will receive a number of exciting renovations and refurbishments, including new colour schemes used throughout a number of the public spaces, new furnishings added throughout the suites and staterooms and new pool side furniture, whilst the fitness suites will be freshened up with new power showers, new cardio equipment and a brand new steam room.

Where the dining venues are concerned, Azamara Club Cruises plan to add a “caviar and champagne bar” within the speciality Aqualina, which will be available on both ships.

In addition to these internal improvements, both Quest and Journey will have their hulls repainted in navy blue for a more striking appearance and one that is more in-keeping with Azamara’s brand features.

Azamara’s CEO, Larry Pimentel, commented “Azamara Club Cruises is offering up-market travelers more of what they love about our brand... Guest satisfaction has consistently pushed 100 percent, and we are going to continue to deliver travel in a way that will surmount all guest expectations”.

Azamara Quest is set to be given in November whilst in dry-dock in Spain, whilst Azamara Journey will undergo its renovation period during January 2013 in Singapore.
