Allure Arrives Home

Royal Caribbean International’s newest cruise liner, Allure of the Seas, arrived at its home port on November 13th after a 13 day transatlantic cruise from Turku, Finland.

The ship was welcomed to Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale by hundreds of onlookers after journeying across the Atlantic Ocean from the shipyard in Finland. The ship will now spend a couple of weeks at its new home whilst thousands of live plants are added to the Central Park neighbourhood.

On the 28th November, the official naming ceremony will be held where the godmother of the brand new cruise ship will also be announced. This ceremony will take place during a one night cruise planned to raise money for Royal Caribbean’s Haiti Fund and other charities.

Following this event the ship will set sail on its inaugural season on the 1st December when the Allure of the Seas will take its first paying guests on a journey to the Caribbean.
