Hurtigruten Norwegian Coastal Voyage

The Coastal Voyage operates every day of the year and there are twelve ships in the fleet, of different types, Millennium Ships, New Ships, Mid-Generation Ships and a Traditional Ship. NORWEGIAN COASTAL VOYAGE SHIPS

Millennium Ships

With the arrival of the latest ships in 2002 and 2003, a new chapter in the history of the Coastal Voyage commenced. These magnificent vessels, each with their own distinct style and character, offer the latest in cabin comforts with increased capacity and improved onboard facilities. At the same time they will remain faithful to the proud traditions of the Coastal Voyage.

New Ships

These Coastal liners are truly the queens of the Atlantic coast, built between 1993 and 1997, each with their own design and displays of works of art by Norwegain artists. Their beautifully appointed public areas, panaroma lounges and welcoming restuarants allow you to enjoy the passing scenery, whatever the weather.

Mid-Generation Ships

These fine vessels superseded the traditional ships during the 'Eighties, with larger cabins and hold space and easier loading access. They each have a restuarant, coffee shop, panorama lounge and ample deck areas.

Traditional Ship

M/S Lofoten is the only traditional ship left in the fleet, it joins the service for sailings before April and after September 2004.
