Yachts of Seabourns New Name

Yachts of Seabourn are renaming themselves ‘Seabourn’, the rebranding was announced at their Christmas party a couple of nights ago, which was held at the Ivy in London.

With the Seabourn Quest joining the fleet in June 2011, Seabourn are expanding and in order to attract more cruisers they are moving away from terms such as yachts and yachting. Seabourn feel that these terms put many cruisers off as they come with many connotations. The recent odyssey class cruise ships take around 450 guests, a lot more than your average private yacht.

Seabourn are still one of the best luxury cruise lines and offer stunning cruises with the service to match, and will continue to meet these high standards. With two new cruise ships in the past two years and another joining in 2011, the company felt it was time for a change of name.
