Viking Sun Dining

There are a variety of dining options available on Viking Sun. The ship’s main venue, The Restaurant, is open for a buffet-style breakfast and for evening meals served course-by-course from either a regional tasting menu or a selection of alternative options.

Viking Sun also has a selection of venues where you can pick up light-bites and snacks throughout the day. The Living Room, Wintergarden and a Norwegian deli called Mamsen’s will all help to stave off any pangs of hunger, while The World Cafe serves up fresh pasta, pizza, salads and bagels in a delightfully spacious environment, with alfresco dining available should conditions permit.

All of these dining options on Viking Sun are included in the fare you pay at the time of booking, however, dining at The Kitchen Table, is available at an additional cost. This is perhaps the most interesting dining venue on the ship and could be described as a part-restaurant, part-shore excursion. Your experience begins with a trip ashore to source ingredients, before returning to the ship to prepare and cook your meal.

Viking Sun Facilities

The facilities on Viking Sun are one of the main reasons the ship remains a popular choice with both new cruisers and seasoned travellers. Despite her small size, you will find everything you need on board Viking Sun to enjoy a relaxing, enriching cruise experience.

From the grand theatre, two cinema screens and spacious 2-level Explorer’s Lounge, to the collection of boutique shops and lavish LivNordic spa facilities, Viking Sun promotes the finer things in life without ever appearing garish or overly decadent.
