Silversea Expeditions offer luxury cruise experiences that are designed to take passengers to some of the world’s most exciting destinations, from the polar regions of Antarctica and the Arctic to South America and Northern Europe. Sailing on their luxury expedition cruise ship, the Prince Albert II, these adventure-style cruises promise everything you would expect from Silversea Cruises, offering the very best in accommodation, dining and amenities yet with a greater focus on destination discovery.
Silversea Expeditions Itineraries
Silversea’s expedition itineraries are extremely well planned; designed to ensure passengers are able to explore selected regions during their best season. This means that throughout the summer they are largely based in the Baltic region offering cruises that take in the best of rural Norway and its neighbouring islands. Regular ports of call include Bear Island, where you are able to go whale-watching, and Svalbard which is often considered the last European wilderness. Whilst exploring Svalbard, you will be invited to trek in the footsteps of famous explorers whilst enjoying the magnificent snow-capped scenery and local wildlife.

During the early-autumn they traverse the Caribbean before moving onto their renowned Antarctica program which runs from winter through till spring. Operating out of Ushuaia in Argentina, Silversea Expeditions concentrates on the areas surrounding Antarctic Peninsula. During your voyage, Prince Albert II will visit the Aitcho Islands, which is home to many gentoo and chinstrap penguins and Paradise Bay, which is renowned for its remarkable scenery and the Almirante Brown Research Station. Other ports of call on this itinerary include Petermann Island, Pleneau Island and Deception Island.
When arriving at a port of call or point of interest, you will have the opportunity to explore further on foot via a choice of shore excursions, or on one of the Prince Albert II’s eight zodiac boats, ideal for getting up close to icebergs and bays that are often considered inaccessible by larger vessels. In addition to this - and to enhance your voyage further - every sailing with Silversea Expeditions is joined by a host of naturalists and lecturers who specialise in a wide variety of subjects closely linked to the region you are exploring. Throughout your cruise they will be on-hand to impart their expert insight and knowledge on the local areas’ wildlife, geology, history and ecology.
All Inclusive Silversea Expeditions
Silversea Expeditions are not only an excellent choice if you’re seeking a luxury cruise holiday where the focus is on discovery and soft-adventure - they are also a great choice if you’re looking for excellent all-inclusive value.
