Silversea Cruises Voted ‘Best Luxury Cruise Company’

6-star cruise line Silversea Cruises were voted ‘Best Luxury Cruise Company’ at the Globe Travel Awards 2011. Voted for solely by the UK’s travel agents, the Globe Travel Awards are seen as huge night in the travel industry and were this year hosted by comedian Jimmy Carr.

Silversea Cruises, who were nominated alongside Crystal Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises amongst others, commented that their award “reflects the great trust and confidence that the UK travel agent community places on Silversea. We are deeply honoured by the award.”.

Other cruise lines that to receive awards were Celebrity Cruises, who were voted ‘Best Premium Cruise Company’ and Hurtigruten who walked away with the award for ‘Best Specialist Cruise Company’.
