169MS Scenic Opal joined the Scenic fleet in 2015, alongside her sister ships Scenic Jasper and Scenic Amber, and is highly recommended if you are seeking an all-inclusive luxury river cruise.
When first stepping aboard Scenic Opal, guests will instantly feel the sense of space that this superb river vessel offers. Like the other ships in the Scenic fleet, she is referred to as a ‘Space Ship’ and offers more dedicated public lounge space than many of the other ships sailing the region.
MS Scenic Opal is the perfect ship for both guests who are new to river cruising as well as those who wish to try a river cruise for the first time. She has a capacity of just 169 guests and boasts modern amenities and five-star suite accommodation along with a variety of dining options, which include fine dining in The Crystal Dining Room and the more informal River Cafe.
MS Scenic Opal Accommodation
In keeping with her sister ship, MS Scenic Opal offers a choice of accommodation options. In total there are 72 suites and 13 guest staterooms onboard, with the categories comprised of Ocean View Staterooms, Balcony Suites, Panorama Suites and 2 stunning Royal Penthouse Suites.
The staterooms located on the middle and upper decks have “Sun Lounge” balconies, which allows for the top half of the floor-to-ceiling window to be opened.
All of Scenic Opal’s accommodation grades come equipped with flatscreen televisions, mini Mac computers, L’Occitane bathroom products, a mini-bar, hairdryer, safe, plush bathrobes and one of Scenic’s “Scenic Slumber Beds”. An extensive pillow menu is also provided.

The facilities onboard MS Scenic Opal are akin to that which you would find in a top luxury hotel. These include a large salon/spa, a gift shop, a running track and a Vitality Pool on the Sun Deck which is the perfect place to cool down on a hot day.
