Santa Cruz Island is located east of Isabela Island in the Galapagos Islands. The island has a few small settlements, the capital being Puerto Ayora. The island is a large volcano which has been dormant for over a million years. Places of interest include Tortuga Bay, Black Turtle Cove, the Charles Darwin Research Station and the lava tunnels.
