Princess Cruises bolster Alaskan itineraries with addition of 4th ship.

Princess Cruises has announced that they will be re-introducing a fourth ship to their signature Alaskan itinerary, ‘Voyage of the Glaciers’, in time for the summer 2012 season. This 4th, as yet unnamed vessel, will be offering one-way trips exclusively to the state’s South-central region. Princess Cruises had previously offered a choice of 4 ships, however, the economic recession, coupled with a increase on passenger taxes, saw them withdraw the offering for the past 2 years.

Cruising has long been thought of as the best way to discover Alaska, with many of the world’s top cruise lines offering a number of seasonal itineraries to the American state.

Princess Cruises have been voted “Best Cruise Line in Alaska” for six of the past seven years.
