NCL Unveil New Ship Plans

NCL has announced that the accommodation on their new ships will offer passengers “modern boutique” cabins complete with spa-style washrooms.

The cruise line, which has won many awards for it’s unique take on ‘freestyle-cruising’, is due to have two new vessels in service by 2014 and is already whetting potential passengers appetites by releasing the first images of their cabins via their NCL facebook page.

The cabins have a design and layout that are described by NCL’s chief executive, Kevin Sheehan as “modern boutique meets sea” and are currently being perfected under the codename ‘Project Breakaway’.

The accommodation onboard will be suitable for up to 4000 passengers and will offer cruisers a choice of 1024 balcony staterooms and 238 mini-suites.

The balcony cabins will feature flat-screen televisions, chestnut leather headboards, luxurious king-size beds and a pull-out sofa bed if needed. The bathrooms are decorated with a plush wooden finish, offering a concealed vanity section located under the sink.

Those who choose to cruise in one of the ship’s mini-suites will benefit from larger bathrooms with double sinks and a spa-like shower that is position directly overhead.

NCL will continue to update their Facebook page with information on the new vessels over the coming months.
