NCL has announced that
single parents will benefit from a new pricing structure aimed at easing the cost of taking their children on a cruise holiday.
Previously, single parents who have travelled with
NCL have needed to pay the full adult fare for any child staying in the stateroom. However, this new initiative now means that the first child will travel at half of the adult fare, with the 3rd and 4th children travelling on the existing lower third and fourth berth fares for children. This is a somewhat unprecedented move from a cruise line and it is likely that other lines may follow suit in offering single parent families similar propositions.
NCL’s Director of Sales, Nick Wilkinson, commented:
“We’re delighted to offer solo parents a way to sail with us that saves them money. We know that times have been tough and we want to make a cruise holiday accessible to all families”.
NCL’s new pricing structure for parents is effective on all itineraries on
Epic between July and September departing from Barcelona.
