Isabela II is the perfect choice of ship for an immersive experience in the Galapagos Islands with Zegrahm Expeditions.
Isabela II was built in 1979 but underwent a refurbishment in 2006. She offers maximum capacity of just 40 guests and boasts 20 elegantly-appointed ocean-view staterooms.
Isabela II has sea kayaks and Zodiacs available on every cruise, while the glass-bottom boat is a fantastic option if you are looking for an alternative to snorkelling. However, if you do wish to venture beneath the waves and see the Galapagos Island's amazing marine life at close quarters, then Isabela II is equipped with snorkel gear and wet suites.
Another great feature of Isabela II is her stargazing programme and the multimedia natural history lectures which are available to all guests onboard.
Isabela II Accommodation
All of the staterooms aboard Isabela II offer outside views (there are no inside staterooms available on the ship) and are available to book as a double or twin with an en-suite bathroom, a hair-dryer and air-conditioning.
There are 20 staterooms located on Isabela II's Cabin Deck and all but 2 single suites are 140 square feet. The 2 single suites - which are great for solo travellers - are 128 square feet. The ship's Master Suite is situated on the Main Deck and is a generous 185 square feet.
Isabela II Dining
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at designated times in Isabela II's main dining room. Unlike dinner, which is served course-by-course, breakfast and lunch are primarily buffet-style, although guests can also benefit from the occasional alfresco meal (weather permitting) on the ship's upper outer decks.
Post-excursion snacks are also offered daily.
