First Female Captain For Cunard Cruises

Cunard Cruises have announced that Inger Klein Olsen will have the honour of being their first female captain, following her successful progression with the cruise line which she has been with since 1997.

The 43 year old, who is originally from the Faroe Islands, has assumed command of the Queen Victoria having previously served as the ship’s Deputy Captain. She will begin her stewardship by taking the ship into Hamburg, Germany, for a scheduled re-fit before embarking on a 5 day cruise of Northern Europe.
