Discovery

Discovery was one of the original “Love Boats” in the original American Series and even since it’s major refurbishment in 2001 has maintained its traditional and elegant style with comfortable and spacious public areas. This enables this mid-size ship with accommodation for up to 790 guests, to offer amenities of a smaller cruise ship but reaching as far of destinations as the Pacific to the Antarctic. The ship emphasises on creating an environment for it’s guests which is a comfortable, personal, relaxing and informative with lectures and photo galleries.

There are numerous activities to be enjoyed on board the Discovery’s eight decks. The two swimming pools one of them with a retractable roof allows swimming in any weather. There is the gymnasium with an ocean view, male and female saunas, jacuzzi and treatment rooms and the beauty salon is operated by UK-based concession Hardy Brothers.

The Discovery has much else to offer its guests such as the library, the Internet centre with six computer stations and wireless access, the lecture theatre, cinema and shops. The three restaurants offer a variation of food style, drinks on location with indoor and outdoor seating, with the Lido Buffet having an outdoor area with a retractable roof to enable outside eating even in less enjoyable weather and giving guests the option to choose if they want a more or less formal dining environment. This ship is designed for those travellers who enjoy the traditional cruises without a lot of pampering and glory.
