Situated in Table Bay, the Port of Cape Town has a history dating back to around the 15th Century when early explorers are first thought to have visited the region.
Today, the city is a massive tourist attraction in its own right, and has such the port has adapted to accept a wide range of cruise lines and ships. Visitors to Cape Town will find much to see and do – even if it’s just relaxing on one of the many beautiful beaches! The port itself is home to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront Shopping Centre, which is host to over 200 ships and the Two Oceans Aquarium. It is also possible to take ferries and view the seal colonies on the nearby Seal and Duiker Islands.
