Seabourn Quest accommodates a maximum of 458 guests, looked after by a crew of approximately 330. This makes her the most intimate ship in Seabourn’s ocean-going fleet, with a crew-to-guest ratio that contributes directly to the personal, unhurried service she’s known for.

Seabourn Quest entered service in 2011 and underwent a comprehensive refurbishment in 2018 that brought her interiors and onboard offering in line with current Seabourn standards. She is now the sole remaining Odyssey-class ship in the fleet, following the departures of Seabourn Odyssey and Seabourn Sojourn.

A Seabourn Quest cruise is genuinely all-inclusive. The fare covers every dining venue, including Sushi and Solis, fine wines, premium spirits and champagne throughout the ship, gratuities, and 24-hour in-suite dining. Most luxury lines treat one or more of these as extras, so it’s worth factoring in when comparing prices across the market.

It’s one of the questions we’re asked most often, and the honest answer is that the onboard experience is broadly similar across all three vessels. All offer the same all-inclusive Seabourn standards, the same suite categories at the upper tiers, and the same key dining venues, including Sushi and Solis.

Where Seabourn Quest differs is in scale. She carries 458 guests rather than the 600 on Seabourn Encore and Ovation, which creates a noticeably more intimate atmosphere and a more personal feel throughout. Her older build means the public spaces are slightly smaller, and the design language differs from the Encore Class, but the 2018 refurbishment keeps her standards current.

Seabourn Quest also has an entry-level Ocean View Suite category without a private veranda, which the Encore Class ships don’t offer. For many returning Seabourn Club members, the more intimate experience aboard Quest is precisely what keeps them coming back.

Seabourn Quest has five distinct dining venues, all included in the fare. These include The Restaurant for refined dining, The Colonnade for casual and themed dining, Patio and Earth & Ocean, plus the two speciality venues, Sushi and Solis. Quest was the first ship in the Seabourn fleet to host Solis when it debuted in January 2024.

Yes, but they’re more relaxed than the formal nights of traditional cruising. Seabourn Quest typically schedules one or two “elegant casual” or “formal optional” evenings per voyage, when guests dress more smartly for dinner. There’s no requirement for black tie, though some guests choose to wear it on the most formal evenings. Most evenings on board are smart casual.

Seabourn Quest sails one of the most varied programmes in the fleet, with current and upcoming itineraries taking in the Caribbean, Western Europe, Northern Europe, Canada and New England, Iceland and Africa. Her smaller size allows her to call at harbours and historic ports that the larger ships of other luxury lines cannot reach.

The Retreat is Seabourn Quest’s private sun-deck enclave, with cabanas arranged around a whirlpool beneath a distinctive flower-shaped canopy. A dedicated concierge service, a tailored menu and complimentary champagne make it a more exclusive way to spend a sea day. The Seabourn dress code is generally relaxed. Daytime is resort casual, and most evenings on board are smart casual: jacket without a tie for men, dressy separates or a dress for women.
